She had been employed at the Decatur VFW and was a life member of the Decatur VFW Post. Trina was united in marriage to Jeffrey Fester on October 3, 2008 at their Dowagiac home. She was an avid reader and loved to collect angels. Trina especially loved her "grandbabies" that were the world to her. Her loving family includes her husband Jeff Fester of Dowagiac, children Jocelyn Gillette and Shaylin Gillette, two grandchildren Gabriella and Kaylin Gillette, her father Robert (Bonnie) Smith, her siblings Tina (Randy) Goetz, Debby (Demetrio) Duran, Randy Smith and Terri Bass, several nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, her grandfathers, aunts, uncles, cousins and many close friends.
Trina passed away at her Dowagiac home on March 31, 2009 from a long illness. She is preceded in death by her mother Marsha Adams and a grandmother Ruthie Uldiene New. Her family will receive friends on Friday from noon until 2 p.m. at McLauchlin-Clark Funeral Home where her funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Friday led by Pastor Dave Weiss of the St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Cassopolis. She will be laid to rest in Harrison Cemetery, Decatur. Memorial contributions in her name may be directed to the family in care of Jeff Fester
