Word was received Thursday, by Mrs. J. J. Daniels, R. F.D. No. 4, Jackson, announcing the death of her brother, Mortimer Crawford, which occurred April 2, at his home in Ridge Farm, Ill. Mrs. Crawford was born in Sandstone township, Nov. 9, 1841. He served in the civil war and was a veteran of Company E, Eight Michigan Infantry. He leaves a wife, three brothers and four sisters.

In 1880 he and his second wife, Charlotte lived in Saint Louis, Saint Louis, Missouri.

In the 1890's he worked as a cabinet maker in Kansas city, Missouri.

in 1900, he and Charlotte were in Ross, Edgar, Illinois with her parents, Calvin and Elizabeth Reynolds.

In 1910 they were in Elwood, Vermilion, Illinois.
