Ernest R. Colberg, 86, Wilton, a retired farmer, died Tuesday in Muscatine General Hospital after a short illness.
Funeral services will be 1:30 p.m., Friday, in the Griffith Funeral Home, Wilton. Burial will be in the Durant Cemetery, Durant, Iowa.
Visitation will be at the funeral home after 6:00 p.m., today.
Ernest Ray Colberg was born November 11, 1880, in Eliza, Illinois. He had lived in the Wilton area for 25 years and was a former custodian of the Wilton public school. He married Ora Miller on July 4, 1903.
Surviving are his wife; one son, Ernest M. Colberg; two daughters, Alma (Raymond) Claussen of Wilton, and Ferris Strohm of Muscatine; four grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and one daughter, Hazel Lange in 1947.
