Helen Marie Spence, 78, of Delta died Wednesday evening at Henry County Hospital, Napoleon.
Born June 19, 1924, in Mortimer, Ohio, she was the daughter of Jesse and Vergie (Campbell) Cornwell. On December 23, 1942, she married Clyde Spence, who preceded her in death on April 7, 1984.
She is survived by a daughter, Saundra Roseman of Delta; two sons, Lew of Swanton and Van of Delta; a sister, Dorothy Walrath of Deming, N.M; seven grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
She was also preceded by two sisters, Thelma Altman and Jean Fletcher, and four brothers, Earl, Glenn, Don and Bob Cornwell.
Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Shiloh Christian Union Church, Delta, Pastor Chuck Whitmire officiating. Interment will follow at Shiloh Cemetery, Delta.
Visitation will be from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. today at Wright Funeral Home, Liberty Center.
The family suggests memorials be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
