Charles H. Lyons, 70, retired employee of the Guernsey Works (sheet Mill) of the Carnegie-Illinois Steel Corp. died Monday afternoon at 2:16 o'clock at his home, 540 Madison Avenue. His health had been failing the past two years and two weeks ago his condition became serious.

Mr. Lyons was born Nove. 23, 1867 and had been a resident of Cambridge the past 40 years. Several years ago he was retired on a pension from the sheet mill where he had been employed for many years.

Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Nettie Lyons, five sons, Earl C. and Roy B. Wyandotte, Mich., Fred H. Cambridge, James A. and Howard M. Lyons, Canton, two sisters, Mrs. Anna Whitaker, Barnesville, and Mrs. Mary White, Newark, one brother, Wilkinsburg, Pa and 11 grandchildren. Two sons are deceased.

The body was removed to the McMillen funeral home, South Tenth street, and was returned to the home Monday evening.
