After graduating from Kahlotus High School in 1932, Peggy attended Washington State University. A few years later, Peggy worked in banking before heading to Washington D.C. where she joined the staff of the late U.S. Senator Henry "Scoop" Jackson. As part of "Scoops Troops," Peggy and her sister, Kay worked for Senator Jackson for more than 20 years. Later on, Peggy joined the staff of the Seattle law firm of Ferguson and Burdell. Peggy loved just about everything in life. She loved family and friends, world travel, the morning paper, painting class and Jack Daniels over the rocks with a slice of lemon at cocktail hour. Peggy's generosity spread far and wide from family and friends to those in dire need of help. She supported many charities including the Ryther Child Center of Seattle. Peggy was a devoted mother, grandmother, wife and friend to so many.
