OBITUARY EDITH IONA MAXWELL STOUTENBURG
Mrs. Ona Stoutenburg, 77, widow of Fred Stoutenburg, died in Detroit Sunday morning. Mrs. Stoutenburg, a native of Defiance and daughter of S.A. and Mary Banister Maxwell, had been living in Detroit with a son, Max Weisenburger. She was first married to Fred Weisenberger and later to Fred Stoutenburg.
Surviving are two sons, Ed Weisenburger, Defiance, and Max Weisenburger, Detroit; one daughter Mrs. Lloyd (Mary) Reed, Toledo; one sister, Mrs. Harry Schlosser, Defiance; eight grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by three daughters, Mrs. Edith Stager, Mrs. Adeline Bessinger, and Dorothy Weisenburger; two sisters, Mrs. Maude Ayers, and Mrs. Della Hilbert; and five brothers, Claude, Clyde, Carl, William, and Ray Maxwell. Mrs. Stoutenburg was born October 19, 1879.
The body will be brought this afternoon to the Mansfield and Mast Funeral Home where services will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. Rev. Ralph A. Hax, St. Paul's Lutheran minister, will officiate and burial will be in Riverside cemetery.
