Lem Daniel Keefer, 48, resident of Star Route, Stanton died at his residence at 7 p.m. Monday.
He had been a resident of Howard and Martin County since 1936.
Funeral arrangements are incomplete but will be held sometime Wednesday from the Eberley Funeral home. Rev. T. R. Hawkins pastor of the First Baptist church in Stanton will officiate. Interment will be in the local cemetery.
Angelo Davenport Charlie Anderson, Mike Anderson, Roy Bates, A. B. Johnson and Claude Russel will be pallbearers.
Survivors include the widow; six sons, James D. of Urbana, Robert W. of Santa Anna, Calif., Roy E. of Odessa, Levi E., Claude P. and Lem D. all of Stanton; one brother, Bert Keefer of Andrews; two sisters, Mrs. E. A. Shields of Florey and Mrs. William Lifenbee of Denver City and five grandchildren.
