The Rev. Jim Headley officiated at the services of the Montgomery County native who was the son of the late Anthony L. and Ruthie Williamson Adams. He was a retired bookkeeper and farmer and had resided in Vidalia most of his life.
He is survived by two sons, Joe Adams of Vidalia and Mike Adams of Lawrenceville, Ga.; two sisters, Nita Phillips, Lyons and Allecy Tyson, Kibbee; one brother, Anthony L. Adams, Savannah; 8 grandchildren; one great grandchild and several nieces and nephews.
Serving as pallbearers were James B. O'Connor, Monty Burns, William R. Adams, Russell Burns, Chesley Hilton, and Drexel Adams.
Murchison Funeral Home was in charge of funeral arrangements.
