Eloise Balding, 79, died at 12:17 p.m. Wednesday, March 12, 1997, at Wabash General Hospital in Mt. Carmel.

Services will be Saturday at 10:30 at Ingram Funeral Home in Albion, with Minister Brad Delks and Minister Mike Brands officiating. Burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery in Grayville. Visitation will be Friday from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Balding was born Feb. 13, 1918, in McLeansboro, the daughter of David C. and Grace (Porterfield) Berg. She married Raymond Balding Oct. 30, 1934, in Edwards County. He preceded her in death June 11, 1975.

She was a homemaker and worked in the nursing home in Albion for 18 years. She was a member of the HOA Club and West Village Christian Church, north of Albion.

She is survived by three sons, Jim Balding, of Chandler, Charles Balding, of Fairfield, and Don Balding, of Effingham; three daughters, Pat Seifried, of Grayville, Martha Eads, of Bellmont, and Judy Parker, of Vernon Hills; three sisters, Sara Owens, of Grayville, Lillian Whorley, of Mt. Carmel, and Florence Doneghue, of Carmi; 12 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded death by her parents, husband, three sisters, Hilda Wick, Mary Fairchild and Helen Berg, and a grandson.
