ANNA A. FERRICK
Anna A., daughter of Wenzel and Teressa Kausalik, was born Feb. 19, 1886, in Austria. At the age of four she came with her parents to Oskaloosa, where she spent her childhood. She died Saturday, July 15, 1961, at the Lucas County Memorial hospital.
She was united in marriage to John Ferrick at Creston Oct. 19, 1903. To this union 12 children were born, four of whom died in infancy. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents and brothers, Joe and John.
Those left to mourn her death are her children: Mrs. Anna Tanner of Phoenix, Ariz., Harry of Cedar Rapids, George of Sparks, Nev., Andrew of Chariton, Mrs. Lester Gwinn of Humeston, Mrs. Dorothy Harbert and Mrs. Peter Grazulis of Cicero, Ill., Mrs. Floydie Gwinn of Lucas, 21 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Two sisters and a brother also survive.
She was a lifelong member of the Catholic church.
Most of her life was spent in Lucas county except for the last three years, which were spent in Phoenix, Ariz. Due to failing health she returned to Lucas in March, 1961.
She dedicated her life to her family.
Rosary services were held at 8 p.m., Tuesday, July 18, at the Beardsley Funeral Home. Funeral services were held at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday, July 19, at the Catholic church in Chariton. The Rev. Fr. C. J. Gaul officiated and interment was in the Calvary cemetery at Chariton.
