She was a member of Saint James CME Church in Perry, Georgia where she served in the Christian Youth Fellowship, Saint James Praise Angels and Saint James Youth Choir. She was a past Gleaner of the Nevolia O. Wright #1277 Field of Moral Order of Eastern Star. She was an active member of FBLA, FCCLA, Junior Air Force ROTC and the Gifted Step Team. Monica was also a Junior Front Runner of Atlanta, Georgia member.
