Grandma Rose, or Netti as some called her, was born in Zuber (now Little Rock), Pulaski, Arkansas in 1890, the youngest child of Mathias Ebner Mitchell and Richard Ali Trimble. She married Henry Stout Rose in 1914 in Oklahoma and they had nine children. Melvin,Marvin (died at age 18)Alva,Roy, EulaVae, Henry Jr, Mary Mae, Cherry & Vonnie. Cherry died at 4 yrs, and Vonnie at one. They moved to Stockton in 1940. She worked at Gulf Red Cedar pencil factory for many years and retired and moved to Capitola,CA. She loved to sing and play the harmonica. She always had a joke to tell and loved to be in the thick of things. I loved her dearly and it was her love of family that caused her to save all the pictures and genealogy infomation I share today. I will miss her always.
