Rush A. Bagwell, 75, of Silver City, died early Monday at Hillcrest General Hospital. He had been an area resident here for the past 52 years. One of the four oldest living members of Santa Rita Lodge No. 44, AF&AM, and Mr. Bagwell was initiated into the Masonic Lodge in 1918. He was master of the lodge in 1922. He had worked for Kennecott Copper Corporation, Chino Mines Division where he was shop foreman, retiring in 1955 after 42 years of service with the company. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Maude Bagwell of Silver City; daughter, Mrs. Richard Nolan of Silver City; son, Rush A. Bagwell of Denver; four grandsons and four sisters. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Curtis Mortuary Chapel, the Rev. Claude Williams, pastor of the First Baptist Church conducting the rites. Ritualistic services were also held by the Santa Rita Lodge of Masons Burial was in the Masonic Cemetery.
