Hal Linman Moore
Hal Linman, passed away March 31, 2003 in Oklahoma City. He was born on August 28, 1923 in Wynona, Oklahoma to Edward Thomas and Alta Mae (Davis) Moore. He married Mona Marie (McLain) Moore August 5, 1949. Hal graduated from Oklahoma A&M in 1951. He worked for Continental Oil Company and retired from the Oklahoma Department of Transportation. He proudly served our country in the Marine Corps during WWII and was a life member of the Marine Corps League. He had many accomplishments among which was a bronze medal for wrestling in the 1948 London Olympics. Hal generously dedicated over twenty years to the boy scouts leading Troop 18 through many adventures and educational journeys. He was a longtime member and Deacon at Crestwood Baptist Church. He is survived by his loving wife of fifty-three years, Mona of the home; brothers, James, Winfred and John; sister, Xerlan Delight; his children, David, Pamela Bahan, Steven and wife Nettie, Richard and wife Debbie, Timothy and wife Tammy, Jonathan, Barry, Gregory and wife Tina, Kip and wife Shelva; as well as nineteen grandchildren and four great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m., Thursday, April 3, 2003 at Crestwood Baptist Church with interment to follow in Resurrection Memorial Cemetery.
