Jose E. Chacon, 72, a resident of Deming, NM entered eternal rest on Thursday, July 14, 2011 at Mesilla Valley Hospice in Las Cruces, NM. Jose was born on August 18, 1939 in Ascension, Chihuahua, Mexico to Manuel Chacon and Maria Dolores (Garcia) Chacon. He was survived by his wife, Celia (Perez) Chacon of Deming, NM; two sons, Efren Chacon of Phoenix, AZ and Alberto Chacon of Dallas, TX; four daughters, Lorena and her husband Edmundo Ramos of El Paso, TX; Sonia Ordonez and her husband Joe of El Paso, TX; Anna Chacon of Deming, NM and Elizabeth Lazalde of AZ; eight brothers, Francisco Garcia, Manuel Chacon Jr., Rigoberto Chacon, Uriel Chacon, Miguel Angel Chacon and Luis Fernando Chacon all from San Jose, CA; six sisters, Socorro Garcia, Irma Garcia, Hortencia Chacon Montes, Hermelinda Sapien, Gloria Alicia Chacon and Rosa Maria Chacon; eight grandchildren, Antonio, Roxanne, Alex, Yessenia, Andrea, Melanie, Fabian and Zach; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by both of his parents.Visitation will be on Tuesday, July 19, 2011 at 4pm with a Holy Rosary beginning at 6pm with Carmen Terrazas officiating at Terrazas Funeral Chapel. The funeral mass will be on Today, Wednesday, July 20, 2011 at 10am at St. Ann's Catholic Church with Father Enrique Lopez Escalera officiating. Services will then conclude at Mountain View cemetery and serving as pallbearers are Edmundo Garcia, Hector Garcia, Francisco Garcia, Manuel Chacon, Rigo Chacon and Bobby Sapien.
