Bert William Hall, age 66, of Towanda, Died Sunday, Aug. 27, at St. Francis Hospital, Wichita, after a short illness. Services: 2 p.m. Wednesday, First Baptist Church of El Dorado. Burial follows at Sunset Lawns Cemetery.

Mr. Hall was born Nov. 19, 1922, at Cabol, Mo., the son of Frank and Martha Hill Hall. He moved to Towanda in 1958, from El Dorado, moving to El Dorado in June of 1945. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in El Dorado, American Legion, Oil, Chemical and Atomic Workers Union, Chelsea Swingin’ Square Dancers, and was an active volunteer for Hospice and Meals-On-Wheels. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II.

He married Hazel Neukirch at Richmond, Calif., June 23, 1945. She died Dec. 31, 1982. He married Marilyn Watkins, Feb. 16, 1985, at El Dorado.

Survivors: wife Marilyn; son Roger of Norman, Okla.; three step-daughters, Nickke Acklin of Park City, Nancy Basquez of Augusta; Terry Scott of El Dorado; mother Martha “Eva” Hall of Wichita; brother Frank Hall Jr. of Wichita; sister Nellie Dickson of El Dorado; two granddaughters; and three step-grandchildren.

His father and first wife preceded him in death.

Memorials in his memory for the First Baptist Church of El Dorado, may be left at the church, or Carlson’s Funeral Home, which has charge of arrangements.
