Frances L. Fusselman, 92, of Genoa, passed away Tuesday, July 19, 2011, in Genoa.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at Augustana Lutheran Church in Genoa. Burial will be in Valley View Cemetery in Genoa. Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. Friday at the church.
Frances was born May 29, 1919, in rural Genoa, to John and Maggie (Jansen) Carstenson. Frances married Paul Fusselman on March 9, 1939, in Albion. She was a homemaker and employed as a cook in the Genoa Public Schools.
Frances was a member of Augustana Lutheran Church, Augustana W.E.L.C.A., the VFW Ladies Auxiliary, several card clubs and the Pawnee Senior Center Band.
Frances is survived by four sons, Don, of Fullerton, Larry, of Rock Springs, Wyo., Ed (Linda), of Columbus, and Bob (Jana), of Grand Island; eight grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren; and sisters-in-law, Dorothy Carstenson and Jean Carstenson.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Paul, in 2001; grandchildren, Stacey, Gregory, and Kari "Kay"; sister, Fern Backman; and brothers, Arnold, Harold, Lyle, Leslie; and infant brother, Arthur.
Memorials are suggested to the Pawnee Senior Center in Genoa.
