Brodie McAlpin

CORINTH - Brodie McAlpin, 89, died Sunday, Jan. 9, 2005, at the Mississippi Care Center. He was a member of the Foote Street Church of Christ, where he was an elder for 38 years. He was the retired manager of Auto Supply Co. and a former member of the Corinth Lions Club. He served in the Civilian Conservation Corp. He enjoyed watching the Ole Miss Rebels and the Atlanta Braves.

Services will be at 2 p.m. today at the Foote Street Church of Christ with Charles Curtis officiating. Burial will be in Forrest Memorial Park. Memorial Funeral Home of Corinth is in charge of the arrangements.

Survivors include his wife, Mae McAlpin of Corinth; two sons, Wayne McAlpin and wife, Faye, and Ken McAlpin and wife, Vicki, all of Corinth; a daughter, Sandra McAlpin of Corinth; three grandchildren, Dr. B. Wayne McAlpin, Page Brown and Brandy Pardue; three great-grandchildren, Micaela Pardue, Tucker Brown and Caleb Pardue; several nieces and nephews; longtime friends G.C. Hyneman and Buford Bivens.

He was preceded in death by his parents, William Oliver and Hulda Johnson McAlpin.

Pallbearers will be Wayne Henry, Harold Jones, Johnnie Bennett, Charles Wheeler, David Sitton, Terry Smith and Phil McAlister.

Honorary pallbearers will be G.C. Hyneman, William Ray Osborn, David Osborn, Bob Morphis, Ben Page, Tucker Brown and Caleb Pardue.
