Oma Mae Arthur, daughter of Walker and Minnie E. (Mackey) Rader was born Nov. 19, 1908, in Niangua, Mo., and departed this life March 2, 2004, in Webco Manor, Marshfield, Mo. At the time of her passing, she was 95 years, 3 months and 13 days of age.
Oma was married to Ralph Lee Arthur and to this union three children were born. Preceding her in death were her parents, Walker and Minnie Rader; her husband, Ralph; two brothers, Everett and Ervin Rader; one daughter, Jean Thomas; and one son-in-law, Ronnie Fraker. Survivors include her son, Joe Arthur and wife Billie, Marshfield, Mo.; her daughter, Darlene Newton and husband Dan, Niangua, Mo.; her son-in-law, Noel Thomas, Marshfield, Mo.; eight grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; and her sister, Virgie McShane, Conway, Mo.
Funeral services for Oma Mae Arthur will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, March 5, 2004, in Day Funeral Home, Marshfield, Mo., with Rev. Jack Day officiating. Visitation will be held from 7 to 8 p.m. today in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Webco Manor or to the charity of the donor's choice and left at the funeral home.
