He was born in Weedsport PA and the son of the Late Reuben William and Fidelia Evans-Propst-Smith.
He is survived by a wife Sarah Ellen Burge-Propst married on Sept 5, 1892, and 5 children Harry Leroy, Earl, Mae, Lena and Mable.
He was preceded in death by one daughter Florence.
In the flood of 1985 charles Henry Propst's grave and stone were washed away along with his daughter's Florence. Several years later the stones were replaced by family members.
