Maurice was preceded in death by his father, Joseph "Joe" Waller, Sr. and a brother, Samuel "Sam I am" Waller.
Surviving are his wife, Tiney; four daughters, Chantel "Missy" Betts, Shirena, Katia, and Carla; two sons, Marcus Betts and Joseph "Tay" Betts; his mother, Laura Anna Waller; six grandchildren, Kasia, Darik, Darius, Sholante, Carlmone, and Jah'mar; three sisters, Laura "Vineta" Banks, Lavetta "Vett" Veney (Reynaldo), and Lisa Waller; three brothers, Ralph "Tony" Waller, Steve Waller (Deborah) and Darrin Waller; his mother-in-law, Shirley C. Betts; and many other relatives and friends.
Funeral services were held July 16 at New St. John Baptist Church. Interment services were held at Calvary Memorial Garden, Kilmarnock. Services of Comfort and Trust entrusted to the Berry O. Waddy Funeral Home.
