From The Townsend Star, Townsend, Montana, Thursday, September 30, 1982 - Edward E. Heuer, 78 died Tuesday morning, September 28, 1982 at Broadwater Community Hospital. He was born in Garrison, North Dakota, September 4, 1904. He was the son of Henry and Annie Heuer. Edward attended schools in Garrison, North Dakota, and Aitkin, Minnesota. He was married to the former Elsie Wogamon in Stanton, North Dakota, June 29, 1932. They came to Townsend in 1935 and he ranched near here. He also served as Broadwater County Commissioner for 18 years. He was past master of Valley Lodge 21 and a past worthy patron of Esther Chapter #3 Order of Eastern Star. He is survived by his wife Elsie of Townsend and two brothers; Harry of Albuqerque, New Mexico, and George of St. Paul, Minnesota, one aunt, Emelie Johnson of Aitkin, Minnesota, and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Funeral services are scheduled for Thursday, September 30, at 2 p.m. at Connor's Mortuary in Townsend with Rev. Sigurd Burch of the Methodist Church officiating. Jack Sautter will sing "How Great Thou Art" and "The Old Rugged Cross" accompanied by Irene Kemmer on the organ. Active pallbearers will be Steve Wogamon, Bob Wogamon, Doug Fandrich, Gordon Hingh, Jeff Hinch and Brett Hinch. Honorary pallbearers are Vance Heuer, Don Wogamon, Bart Hinch, Abe Fandrich, Ted Wogamon, Ray Horne, Dave Middlemas, John Plymale, Lloyd Heberie, Dick Gill, Clayton Lohrman and Jack Duffy. Valley Lodge 21 will conduct Masonic graveside rites at Deep Creek Cemetery.
