William H. Baer, 89, of 209 Washington Ave., died Thursday in Connellsville State Hospital. He was born Feb. 15, 1874, at Connellsville, a son of the late George and Leona Durshiger Baer. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church. He operated one of the first dairy businesses in Connellsville, then became affiliated with Farmers Dairy, where he remained until his retirement. Surviving are a son, Roland E. of Connellsville; two daughters, Mrs. Raymond (Leona) Schmitz of Erie, and Mrs. William (Ruth) Albright of Hyattsville, Md.; seven grandchildren, two great-grandchildren; a sister, Mrs. Leona Shearer of Vineland, N.J. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mrs. Ella Collins Baer, on March 22, 1957, and a brother Edward, on May 2, 1963. The body will be at the McIntire funeral home after 7:30 p.m. today. The funeral service will be held there at 2 p.m. Sunday with the Rev. H. Wahl Pfeifer officiating. Interment will be in Green Ridge Memorial Park. [Unknown Source]
