Carrie C. Hudson 1861-1939

Mrs. Carrie C. Hudson, 77, passed away Tuesday, March 28, at the home of her daughter, Mrs. E. Koepke, 617 29th St., South Bend, after an illness of one year with heart trouble.

She was born at Napoleon, Ohio, Oct. 27, 1861, moving with her parents to Nebraska, where she was married April 7, 1885, to Lark Hudson, who preceded her in death ten years ago.

The family came to Knox, Ind., in 1900, moving later to Plymouth, then to South Bend. She has been a member of the Latter Day Saints Church for the past twenty-ine years.

Surviving are: one son, Oscar Shirley, of St. Petersburg, Fla; and five daughters, Mrs. Cecil Hermes, Riverside, Calif.; Mrs. Lulu Van Dalen, Detroit, Mich.; Mrs. Olive Bennett, Mrs. E. Koepke and Mrs. Fern McKenzie of South Bend; two sisters, Mrs. Lorena Harris of Enid, Okla; and Mrs. Belle Loffland, Liberal, Kan; twelve grandchildren and four great grandchildren.

Funeral services, in charge of Rev. Forrest Myers, were held at The Hollis Funeral Chapel, South Bend, and interment was in Fairview Cemetery, Mishawaka.
