She was born in New York City, daughter of the late James and Martha Beckett, and lived here most of her life. Mrs. Cofer was a member of the Second Baptist Church and of the Usher Board of the church.
Surviving are husband, John Cofer; four sons, Patrolmen James and Herbert Cofer, this city, Harold Cofer of Philadelphia and LeRoy Cofer, this city; a daughter, Mrs. Martha Pattisall, this city; two brothers, Harrison Beckett of Newark and John Beckett of this city; a sister, Mrs. Louise woods, this city, and 12 grandchildren.
The funeral will be tomorrow at 2 p.m. in the Second Baptist Church. Burial will be in White Ridge Cemetery under the direction of the F. Leon Harris Funeral Home, Long Branch.
