Dottie A. Wheeler (Slaven) Age 91. Born Nov. 13, 1920, formerly of Massillon, Ohio, passed away March 28, 2012 in New Port Richey, Fla. Preceded in death by her husband James D. Wheeler and son, James K. Wheeler; sisters, Dorothy, Mary Ellen, Meade, Imogene; brothers, Bud and William.

Survived by daughter and son-in-law, Becky and Gary Neel; granddaughter, Sherria Neel (Black). Barbara (James K.) and grandchildren, Timothy and Terri Wheeler; four great grandchildren; sister, Evelene Slaven and brothers, Ken and Joe Slaven of Tenn.; sister, Francine Roberts of Indiana and other family and friends.

Dottie loved to sew, garden and cook. She made the best fried apple pies in the world and she took special pride in her flowers and shared them with all. She was famous for her Southern home remedies and home cooked meals.
Per her wishes, she will come home to Ohio and lay in rest next to her husband, Jim. Private services will be held at a later date. At the family's request, memorial contributions can be made to the Stark County Humane Society in Dottie's name.
