Mrs. Herman Ruedebusch was born in this city on April 11, 1868, a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Butter, pioneer residents of this city. She received her education in the local schools. On Dec. 12, 1891, she was married to Mr. Ruedebusch, and this union was blessed with five children, one of whom, a little daughter, passed away in infancy.
The deceased is survived by her husband, and the children who mourn the passing of their self-sacrificing mother, whose great interest was their welfare. They are Rhoda, Mrs. Harold Bleyer of Kalamazoo, Mich., R. H. Ruedebusch, and Miss Alma of this city; Clara, Mrs. Elton Hocking, who is now in England; three grandchildren, Betty Bleyer, and Richard and Jane Ruedebusch; one sister, Mrs. A. A. Hoehne, Buffalo, N. Y., and three brothers, Robert, William, and Alvin Butter, all of this city.
Mrs. Ruedebusch spent her entire life in this city. She was a devoted wife and mother, and attained her greatest joy in life through being of assistance to her family. In April she became ill, and went to the hospital three weeks ago for an operation from which she failed to recover, ending in death.
Last rites will be conducted for the deceased this afternoon at a private funeral service at the home on South Walnut street. Judge E. H. Naber will speak, and burial will be held in Graceland cemetery.
