Mrs. Miner Harris Expires at St. Paul
Mrs. Miner Harris of Palmer, formerly Mrs. Elsie Vance of Arcadia, died Dec. 29 in the St. Paul hospital. She had been ill about 18 months.
Funeral services were held in the Palmer United Methodist Church at 11 am Friday with second services at 2:30 pm in the Arcadia United Methodist Church. Burial was in the Arcadia cemetery.
Mrs. Harris had lived most of her life in the Arcadia vicinity where she was born Oct. 8, 1892, to Samuel and Ellen Berridge. Her first marriage was to Gustav Benson.
Since her marriage to Miner Harris on May 3, 1962, she had lived in Palmer where she had made many new friends while keeping in touch with old friends in the upper Loup Valley region.
Her four children Mrs. Fern Jensen, Mrs. Doris Smith, Mrs. Musa Bebek, and Gustav Benson, all of southern California attended the funeral services Friday.
Mrs. Harris is also survived by one sister, Mrs. Winnie Honeycutt of Lake Stevens, Wash. A brother, Samuel Berridge of Washington, preceded her in death in 1967.
