DEATHS
Mrs. Mary C. Allen, a former resident of the Kelly neighborhood, died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Belle DuFoe in Fort Clark, North Dakota on January 9th at the age of eighty-two years and seventeen days. The body was brought to Seneca for burial on Friday night and was accompanied by her daughter, Mrs. DuFoe. The funeral services were held from the Methodist church in Seneca on Saturday afternoon conducted by Rev. A. L. Tainter and the burial was in the Seneca cemetery.

Mary Catherine Greer was born on December 22nd, 1840 in Johnson county, Missouri. She was the oldest of a family of thirteen children, six of whom survive, three brothers and three sisters, on brother, George Greer of Rockport, Mo. attending the funeral. On January 1, 1860 she was married to Elijah Allen, who preceded her in death in 1903. To this union were born thirteen children, eleven of whom are left to mourn her loss. They are: Mrs. Viva Vest of Tarkio, Missouri, Miles Allen of Goff, Emery Allen of California, Wolton Allen of Kansas City, Emert Allen of St. Joseph, Mrs. Belle DuFoe of Fort Clark, North Dakota, Hardie Allen of Glendale, California, Mrs. Lillie Meeker of Talmadge, Kansas, Mrs. Marry Ward of Goff, Acie Allen of Shreveport, La., and Archie Allen of Kansas City.
