Rev. David P. Kirsch attended schools in Buffalo, Niagara Falls and Warren Michigan. He was a student at Sacred Heart Seminary, Detroit Michigan, and St. Charles Borromeo Seminary, Columbus, Ohio. He graduated from the Diocesan Preparatory Seminary in Buffalo, New York and St. John Vianney Seminary, East Aurora, and was ordained a priest of the Diocese of Buffalo, New York on May 26, 1973.
Father Kirsch first served on the Missionary Apostolate at St. Isidore, East Otto, and was parochial vicar at St. Matthew Parish, Buffalo from 1973 to 1974. He then was transferred to St. Mary of the Assumption until 1984, when he became parochial vicar at St. Gregory the Great Parish in Amherst. He served there for ten years until his death at the age of 46.
