Mrs. Elizabeth T. Bintz, 83, died Thursday morning at 6 o'clock, having been ill with heart trouble for several years, at her home on Convent street. She was the eldest daughter of the late Johnson and Susan Back Turck and was born in the town of New Bremen, on March 11, 1848. Her entire life was passed in the vicinity of her birth. About 56 years ago she was united in marriage to John H. Bintz, who died about 5 years ago. After their marriage they located in Convent street in this village, in the home where she died. About 13 years ago, when the health of both Mr. and Mrs. Bintz began to fail, they adopted a niece, Mrs. Joseph Farney, with her family, to reside with them in their declining years and have been tenderly cared for. The couple had no children of their own. Deceased is survived by two sisters, Mrs. Mary Andre, of this village, and Mrs. Magdeline Beecher, near Soft Maple. A sister, Mrs. William Barnes, and a brother John N. Turck, preceded her in death on the 16th and 30th of May, respectively, three deaths occurring in six weeks time. She was a member of the Rosary Society,... Interment in St. Stephen's cemetery. The bearers were Clyde, Niles and Evenor Andre, Chester, Ambrose and John M. Turck, all nephews of deceased. The high esteem in which she was held was testified by the numerous beautiful floral offerings and mass cards. The Journal and Republican, Lowville, NY, Thursday July 9, 1931
