Mr. Burkhard is survived by his widow, Mrs. Genevieve A. Burkhard; two daughters, Mrs. William (Ann) Hornig and Mrs. Neil (Nancy) Lyng, both of Lowville; a brother, Edmund Burkhard, Syracuse; one sister, Mrs. Glenn (Gladys) Golden, Croghan and eight grandchildren. Two brothers and a sister predeceased him.
