Funeral services for Mrs. Olevia Johnson, 82, who died Sunday morning at the home of her daughter, Mrs. S.L. Rumbo, of Chandler, were held Monday afternoon at 4 o'clock in Tyler.
The services were conducted by the Rev. Marshall W. Hampton and the Rev. John Gary. Burial was in the Verner cemetery.
Pallbearers were B.C. Bass, Taylor Fitzgerald, Sidney Levell, Bryan McGinney, Homer Eikner and Jesse Breedlove.
Mrs. Johnson was born in Greenville, Alabama, and went to Tyler when she was a young woman. She lived in that area since then, making her home in Tyler and Chandler, except for a short period when she lived in Williamson county. W.S. Johnson, whom she married in the Dean community died in 1937.
Mrs. Johnson had lived in the Chandler vicinity the last 19 years.
Surviving are two sons, K.H. Johnson of Tyler and M.A. Johnson of Ashfort, Arizona; daughter Mrs. Rumbo; one brother J.M. McGinney Tyler.
