She was born on August 9, 1929, to John and Mary Thomas in Lauderdale County, MS.
Mae is survived by her daughter, M Lee Garcia; grandchildren, Sonny Garcia, Robert M. Smith, II, and H. Lee Smith and wife, Ashley; 2 great-granddaughters and 1 great-grandson.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert L. Smith; son, Robert Mitchell Smith, Sr.; parents, John Roland and Mary Elizabeth Thomas.
Visitation will be held Saturday, November 14, 2020, 2:30 pm - 3:00 pm at Ford Memorial Gardens, Meridian, Mississippi.
Graveside services will be held on Saturday, November 14, 2020, at 3:00 pm at the Ford Memorial Gardens, with Dr. Raymond Leake officiating.
