Eva came to Oklahoma with her parents and siblings to participate in the Cheyenne-Arapaho land run of 1892 in western Oklahoma. Her father staked a claim adjacent to the Washita River in the ghost town of Red Moon near present-day Cheyenne, Oklahoma. She attended a one-room school and married Archie "Arch" Albert Anderson at the age of 18.

Arch and Eva also homesteaded in Red Moon where Eva bore two daughters, Ernestine and Archie Anderson. Her husband died in 1903 and she raised the two girls as a single mother on the frontier and in the town of Cheyenne.

Eva became the matriarch of her family in Oklahoma City where she lived until age 97. She was survived by daughter Ernestine Anderson Leverett, daughter Archie Anderson Brewer, granddaughter Betty Kathryne Leverett McCreery, granddaughter Mary Louise Leverett Knipe, grandson James Archie "Bill" Leverett, great-grandson James Knipe, great-grandson David Alan McCreery, great-grandson Stephen K. Leverett, great-granddaughter Jennifer Lynn McCreery, great-grandson John Leverett, great-granddaughter Twyla Leverett and great-great-grandson James Michael Knipe.

Eva was a talented seamstress, photographer and painter and supported her family with these trades in addition to running a boarding house in Stillwater. She was honored by the State of Oklahoma for her tireless volunteer efforts including sewing lap robes for the "old folks" well into her mid 90s.
