Gaffney, SC - - Xenophon Gary Sarratt, 72, of 358 Matthew Road, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, July 16, 2011 at Spartanburg Regional Hospice Home. Born in Gaffney, he was the widower of the Ruth McDaniel Sarratt and the son of the late Xenophon Sarratt and Pearlie Mae Mullinax Sarratt. He was a graduate of Gaffney High School and Spartanburg Technical College. He was a United States Navy Veteran, having served on the USS Princeton, an Army National Guard and a member of the Gaffney Masonic Lodge 186. Mr. Sarratt was retired from Hoechst Celanese and was a member of Providence Baptist Church. Surviving are two sons, Steve Sarratt and wife, Karen; of Gaffney and Kenneth Sarratt, of Spartanburg; a step-son, Brien Albertson of Gaffney; a daughter, Barbara Kim Livingston of Greenwood; seven grandchildren, Scott Sarratt and fiance', Brittany Parker, Dakota Mitchell and husband, Josh, Courtney Albertson, Jessica Livingston, Stephanie Sarratt, Gatlin Sarratt and Caimen Sarratt; and two great-grandchildren, Macayla Denise Sarratt and Baby Mitchell. The family will receive friends from 12:30 until 2:00 PM on Tuesday, July 19, 2011 at Blakely Funeral Home. Funeral services will immediately follow at 2:00 PM in the Blakely Funeral Home Chapel at Dr. Scott Peterson officiating. Interment will be in Frederick Memorial Gardens.
