She was born in Wythe County, Virginia on March 1, 1927, the daughter of the late Ernest T. and Minnie C. (Burnett) Wright. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Howard Henley Harlow; three brothers, Graham, Monroe, and Lacy Wright; and six sisters, Goldie Adcock, Aileen Furrow, Elizabeth Harlow, Martha Meredith, Mildred Pugh, and Gertrude Bourne.
Juanita was a loving and devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She loved her flowers and her cats. The world stopped every day at 12:30 when her "stories" came on television.
She is survived by three sons, Wayne Henley Harlow, Howard David Harlow, and Lawrence Wade Harlow and his wife, Linda; three grandchildren, Abigail Lynn Harlow, Rebecca Harlow Watkins and husband, Devin, and David Chesley Harlow; two brothers, Larry and Marshall Wright; and a sister, Ruby Hypes.
The family received friends on Tuesday, July 19, 2011 at the Thacker Brothers Lake Monticello Funeral Home 138 Heritage Dr., Palmyra.
A graveside service was conducted on Wednesday, July 20, 2011 at Effort Baptist Church Cemetery in Palmyra with Devin Watkins officiating.
