Mrs Rena M (Lynch) Durham,age 102, died Tuesday morning, April 3, 2001, at her home.
She was born May 29, 1898 in Ionia County, Michigan and moved to Manistee County in 1902 where she lived until moving to Muskegon area in 1918.
She was a member of Hope Reformed Church.
Mrs Durham worked for Montgomery Ward and Federal Department Stores.
Rena married Mathias Lynch, he passed away January 31, 1967. She then married James Durham on October 18, 1968, and he preceded her in death on July 7, 1973.
She was also preceded in death by 2 sons, Cedric Lynch, at the age of 3, and Estel Lynch in 1967; her grandson, Stanley Lynch on April 3 , 2000 and by her sister, Jessie Draper, and two brothers Harry and Stewart Townsend.
Survivors include her daughter-in-law Mary Lynch of Muskegon, 3 grandchildren, 1 granddaughter-in-law, 9 great grandchildren, 8 great-great-grandchildren, 1 great-great-great-grandson, and 1 brother Claude Townsend of Detroit.
Services will be 1:00 pm Friday at Sytsema Funeral Home 737 Apple Avenue with the Rev Steven Hyma officiating. Burial will be in Lakeside Cemetery.
