Girl, 9, Dies of Burns

Connie Lee Anderson, 9, succumbed yesterday afternoon at Sacred Heart hospital to severe burns suffered when her clothing caught fire March 1.

The child, daughter of Mrs. George Loshbaugh, (sic Loretta (Blair) Anderson Loshbaugh) 6005 Elm, and Clifford Anderson, Spokane, was burned while visiting her maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. L. W. Blair, at Colbert.

Connie and her half-brother and half-sister had built a bonfire in the Blair's yard and Connie's skirt caught fire, burning her lower body and left arm.

She was born in Spokane, October 8, 1948, and lived in this area all her life. She was a third-grade pupil at Ridgeview school.

Besides her parents and grandparents, she is survived by two half-brothers, Lyle Ray Loshbaugh, 7 months and Clyde Loshbaugh, 5; a half-sister, Linda Loshbaugh, 4; and three great-grandparents, Mrs. Lillie Lynch, Nine Mile Falls, and Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Frazer, Deer Park.
