Scott Edell Roper, 51, of Crystal Springs, Ms, died peacefully on July 14, 2011 with his family beside him.

Visitation will begin at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 16, 2011 at County Line Baptist Church in Crystal Springs with a graveside service following at 11:00 a.m. in the church cemetery.

Survivors include his beloved children: son, Matthew Scott Roper and daughters, Natalie Roper and Adrienne Cook, all of Crystal Springs. He is survived by his stepfather, John Pickering, and five sisters, Cynthia Holmes, Tracey Bradley, Susan Leggett, Maribeth Barnett and Elise Hunt.

Scott was preceded in death by his wife, Angela Cook Roper; mother, Elizabeth Pickering; father, William Roper; and stepmother, Dot Roper.

The family would like to extend a heartfelt thanks to all of his wonderful caregivers at the UMC Medical Intensive Care Unit.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the County Line Baptist Church Cemetery Fund, PO BOX 578, Crystal Springs, MS 39059.
