He was born near Union city, Ind., Jan. 2, 1881 and had lived in Syracuse 2 1/2 years, coming from Millersburg. He was a retired farmer.
He was married Dec. 18, 1904 to Georgia Green. She died Aug. 15, 1967.
Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. William McGill, Millersburg, and Mrs. Eugene Brown, Syracuse; six grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. Earl Holzinger, Goshen.
Friends are being received at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home where services will be at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday. The Rev. Chester B. Carpenter Sr. will officiate. Burial will be in Brown Cemetery, Millersburg.
