Judge William A. Wurzbach, Dies Sunday in San Antonio
Judge Wurzbach Was Father of Mrs. Hartwell J. Kennard
William Augustus Wurzbach 70, former Bexar county judge died Sunday at his home on Wurzbach Road in San Antonio. He had been in retirement more than two years.
He was a president of the Alamo Farm and Loan Association. When a young man, he was a member of the state Legislature.
A native of La Grange, he had lived in San Antonio 69 years. He was a graduate of Southwestern University, Georgetown, Texas A.and M. College and the University of Texas School of Law. He was at one time director of A. and M. College. He was a member of the Kappa Sigma Fraternity, Harmonia Lodge No. 1, Hermann Sons, the. Elks Club, the old Casino Club, and the San Antonio Bar Association. He was a past president of the International Exposition.
Funeral services will be held at the First Presbyterian church Tuesday morning at 10 o'clock, Rep P. B. Hill officiating. Burial will be in the Anchor Masonic cemetery.
