Mr. Grondsma was born March 14, 1903, in Zwolle, Holland, a son of Sybrant and Grace Van De Bree Grondsma. He came to the United States 51 years ago and was educated in Ogden.
He was married to Dorothy Hansen in Elko, Nev. She later died.
He was formerly employed by Portland Transportation Co. in Portland, Oregon.
He was a member of the LDS Church.
Surviving are a brother, Harold A. Grondsma; a sister, Mrs. Raymond P. (Nellie) West, Salt Lake City; a stepsister, Mrs. Norris (Rita) Warren, Clearfield.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 1 p.m. in the Aultorest Chapel of Flowers with Harry Nasfell, counselor of the Eleventh Ward, officiating. Friends may call at the chapel Tuesday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Wednesday prior to services.
