Her nieces and nephews will miss May H. Bailey who died Friday, January 27, 2006, at the Country Pines Care Center in Clinton.
May was born the sixth child to William P. and Amanda Hogenson Hanson on January 23, 1915 in Newton, Utah.
She received her education in Cache County schools and later worked at Naval Supply Depot in Clearfield, where she met Robert E. Bailey. They were married January 31, 1947 in Reno, NV. Bob died October 21, 1988.
May and Bob lived in Idaho and Utah before retiring and moving to Rimrock, AZ. They made friends wherever they went and worked hard building their homes. Visitors were always welcome and made to feel at home. May was a generous person and willing to share anything she had. She loved spending time with her four sisters and each year they planned a trip together as a reunion. She and her sisters would tell stories about growing up with their cousins and laugh into the morning hours reminiscing about their life in Newton.
May was a member of the Federal Womens' Club and the LDS Church.
She is survived by seven nieces and four nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents and siblings, Leone, Marcell, Pearl, Esther, Arba and Cecil and one nephew, Terry Hanson.
Graveside services will be held Wednesday, February 1, 2006 at 1 p.m. at the Newton Cemetery. Friends and family may call Wednesday from 10 to 11 a.m. at Lindquist's Clearfield Mortuary 1050 South State Street.
