After her husband died, she moved to Spokane, Washington, where her son Dean lived.

She died in Spokane, Spokane County, Washington, twenty years after her husband passed away). The Washington State Digital Archives notified Dinah Thweatt via email that the cemetery part of the archives says she was buried at 'Greenwood' and that there were two cemeteries with that name. Dinah contacted Greenwood Memorial Terrace Cemetery 508-838-1405 and found that their records say Marie E Durham died 1920 and that she's in Space 2, next to a Mary A Durham who died in 1918. No other people in that lot.

Burial date for Maria was Feb 12, 1920.

An old paper from Greenwood Cemetery says the grave is located in the NW 1/4 of Lot 60, Block 16.
