She was one of the pioneer settlers of Washington County.
She is survived by the following children: James Donegan, Washington, Md; Michael Leo and Harry Donegan, Hagerstown; Vincent Donegan, Mrs John McKnight and Mrs Reed Booth of Pearre, Md and Mrs Flora Higgins of Green Ridge, Md. Forty-seven grandchildren and nine great grand children also survive.
It will be remembered by her friends that she and her husband played an important part In the history of the C. and O. Canal between Cumberland and Georgetown when this waterway was considered to be equal in importance to our greatest transportation ways between Cumberland and Washington.
She was buried with a requiem mass offered by the Rev. Wm. B. Kelly at St. Patricia's Church, Little Orleans
