The ranks of the older settlers are growing thinner every day in this community. On Friday Dec 31 the final summons came to Mrs. Peter Dahlberg of Center City, who attained the very advanced age of 89 years, 9 months and 29 days.
Mrs. Dahlberg who was very well known and highly respected, especially among the older settlers, immigrated from Sweden to this country in 1872 and settled on a farm one mile north of Center city on the Sunrise Road where she had resided ever since. Mr. Dahlberg died several years ago. She was born in Ronneby, Sweden, March 2, 1826.
The deceased was since her arrival here a member of the Swedish Lutheran Church of Center City.
The deceased is survived by two daughters, Mrs. C D Nelson of Center City and Mrs. Andrew Holm of St Paul and one son John Dahlberg of Montana. The funeral which was attended by many of the friends and neighbors if the departed was held in Center City on the afternoon of January 4, Dr Oslund officiating and interment followed in the Center City Cemetery. Peace be to her ashes.
