Harold was born on March 4, 1927, in Jefferson City, Missouri, the son of Elizabeth (Brand) and Edward Thessen.
Bud worked as a manager for Singer Sewing Machine Co. then worked in car sales at Joe Machens Ford and Rick Ball Chevrolet.
He was a member of Knights of Columbus and the V.F.W. Bud served in the U.S. Army.
He was an avid Cardinals baseball fan and loved fishing. Bud also volunteered for many years at Columbia Regional Hospital.

Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 28 at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church with a Funeral Mass to be held at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery.
