Graveside services for John Leslie Brown will be at 1:30 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 17, 1985, at Memorial Park Cemetery.
Mr. Brown was born Feb. 9, 1894, in Boone County to John W. and Anna Laura Via Brown.
On June 24, 1922, he married Mary Norman in Columbia. She survives. Mr. Brown, a World War II Army veteran, was a carpenter for C. K. Odor Construction Co.
He was a member of New Providence Church.
Besides his wife, he is survived by a son, Billy D. Brown of St. James; a daughter, Helen Canole of Sturgeon; a sister, Elizabeth Brown of Brownwood, Texas; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
